We're Back!
I'm back from a whirlwind trip from Miami to Orlando to DC filled with lots of time with some of my favorite people! While I can't say that it was relaxing, I can say that it was a much-needed break from my regular routine and a chance to embrace just being with others.
There are many things I could highlight from the past two weeks but I am especially excited to concentrate on the importance of imagination (because I went to Disney and you can't not walk away feeling inspired by all the possibilities)!
Imagination is the key to creativity and at a certain point in our lives we are told that our "childish dreams" need to catch up to reality. I'm here to say phooey (how often does one get to say that?!) and would argue continuing to chase our dreams is the key to a fulfilling life.
This is not to say responsibility doesn't set in at a certain point in our lives - adulting happens to the best of us. What I am saying is don't let what is "expected" of you define who you are and what you choose to do with your time.
Welcome Wagon
Of course all of the big announcements happen while I'm gone!
I've shared previously that I am a part of a public affairs firm of good troublemakers called Black Lion Strategies (BLS). While I was away, the announcement was made official! I'm excited to spread the word about the great social impact work happening in the Boston area.
It was also announced that BLS founder and friend Samuel M. Gebru will be receiving the 2024 Lewis Latimer Award from the Associated Industries of Massachusetts. If you are interested in learning more about our work, visit https://www.blacklionstrategies.com/.
Kind words from Elaine
I recently featured Elaine Blaise, author, life coach and master of the art of self-approval as part of my #WomensHistoryMonth series highlighting #femaleentrepreneurs.
The other part of the special offer I had in March was a bio rewrite for participants. I am so honored to be able to tell the stories of #womenbusinessowners and even more grateful to receive such kind words from Elaine about my writing:
"This is wonderful! It captures who I am and what I do succinctly and beautifully! Well done and thank you!"

Until next week, stay #wicked.
